Share the Dignity!

Donate sanitary items at Aspley Hypermarket in August to help a woman or teenage girl in need!

On any given night in Australia, 1 in 200 people are homeless. 44% are women. 27% are children under the age of 18. Over 44,000 homeless women go without sanitary products every month.

This August, we are once again partnering with Share the Dignity in the aim of collecting donations of sanitary items for women in need! Our collection points will be located in the Centre outside Coles, Aldi and Woolworths. Please help us make a difference and give generously over the period. If you are a part of a businesses or organisation that can donate collectively, please let us know on 3862 7222.

Having read a news article about the number of homeless women going without basic sanitary items, an amazing SEQ local, Rochelle Courtenay, decided the question was not “why is no one doing anything” but rather “what’s stopping me from doing something?”. Thus launched Share the Dignity, an Australian Women’s charity bringing dignity to homeless, at -risk and women experiencing domestic violence through distribution of sanitary items. Launching in 2015, over the last 4 years, they’ve been able to collect over 1.1 million sanity items from across Australia
